Rosa Parks Honored with Statue in Washington, D.C.

A beautiful bronze statue of civil rights heroine Rosa Parks, was unveiled on Wednesday Feb 27, at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.

President Obama, commented on the honor at the Statuary Hall saying:

“And with that victory, the entire edifice of segregation, like the ancient walls of Jericho, began to slowly come tumbling down,” he said before hundreds gathered just outside the Capitol Rotunda.
