This London-based soul singer possesses some indelible vocal chops. He is a terrific singer, recalling by turns Al Green, Otis Redding and even Harry Belafonte. Kiwanuka is an artist who could sound good singing the phone book. Musically it reminds me of Van Morrison’s early stuff. Hopefully he can build on it over the years to come. There is no doubting he is very talented.
