Following in the steps of the concepts by Hiroshi Fujiwara and Kengo Kuma in Japan, Starbucks, have created a concept store for the first time in Europe. This time with Amsterdam the location, “The Bank,” as its been dubbed represents the Seattle coffee brand break in tradition as they push to break creative boundaries. Designed by Liz Muller, “The Bank” amasses some some 4,500 square feet and is highlighted by a combination of locally-sourced and sustainable materials while taking inspiration from the former historic bank vault.
